About Samantha

I have historically cared for children in childcare facilities, so I am new to paid senior care. However, I'm pursuing an A. A. S. in Nursing through the University of Alaska to become a certified R. N. who specializes in hospice and end-of-life care. With family members, I have experience with post-operative care, including wound care, medication management, and physical support. Additionally, my experience as the Site Coordinator for a hot lunch program equipped me with cooking skills and nutritional knowledge. I also grew up caring for a sibling with several psychiatric and physical disabilities, so I have no shortage of compassion, patience, and adaptability. I want to care for seniors because I firmly believe in caring for our elders, and it's challenging for family members to shoulder that privilege alone. I'm seeking work that offers me valuable experience that will fulfill my desire to contribute to my community in a meaningful way. I look forward to learning together.
