About Samantha

I love helping students connect with materials. Seeing the lightbulb go off for them once we've found a way for them to understand a subject is so amazing. I am more than willing to find an "unconventional" way to help students learn what they're tasked with. I started tutoring when I was 19 years old working for a city program. Then, I moved into a daycare provider role while going to school full time. From there, I became a preschool teacher, then a special education aide and I am currently working as a Special Day Class Structured Teaching (SDC-ST) educator in a kindergarten through fifth grade Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) classroom. One thing you should know about me is that I truly care about what I do. Working with children in an educational capacity is my calling and I take it very seriously. My skills include common core state standards knowledge, resource making, accommodations and modifications.
