About Samantha

After 2. 5 years as a high school teacher, I am transitioning out of teaching to pursue a more consistent work-life balance. I have a Masters in Education and a Bachelors in History + a Minor in Classical Civilizations from UCLA. While my teaching experience consisted supporting mostly 10th and 12th graders, I also have a wide range of experience working with younger children. I have worked in a Child Care facility and assisted taking care of young children, ages 1- 4 years old. I have volunteered at Ability First and supported staff to care for kids with disabilities. In both job experiences, my main tasks included preparing snacks, engaging in play time, facilitating arts and crafts, reading time, and some light clerical work. In 2021, I was also a Summer Instructor for Galileo Learning Summer Camp in Santa Monica and facilitated engaging STEM activities for kids ages 6-10. I have CPR knowledge and am willing to follow any routines or instructions you provide.
