About Samantha

I'd describe my personality as calm, patient, and thoughtful. I started working with kids in 2013 at a sleepaway camp in Maine where I taught drama and directed plays and musicals with kids aged 7-17 and was responsible for anywhere from 3-7 elementary school kids in my cabin. When I got back in the fall, I started babysitting and nannying part time while earning an AA in Education. I've continued to babysit and work at summer camp while getting my BA in Film and working at film festivals. I've also tutored teenagers in writing and I occasionally work as a substitute teacher for an independent K-8 school. In my spare time, I like to go rock climbing, watch movies and write about them, and play the ukulele. Additionally, I am CPR certified and I also have experience with non-neurotypical children and children with special needs.
