I've always been very passionate about working with the special needs community ever since I was younger. In high school I was part of the Adaptive Aquatics program that helped students with special needs work on their range of motion while having fun in the pool. At the University of Connecticut I was part of the Best Buddies club, which is a club that works to integrate the Intellectual and Developmentally Disabled community. I am also a current graduate student at Cabrini University working on my dual teaching certifications for elementary education and special education, as well as my masters in education. I am also currently working as a paraprofessional at an elementary school working with students with autism from the ages of 5 to 8.
