About Samantha

Hello! My name is Samantha and I am a stay-at-home mom of one. I have my degree in elementary education and I have taught in Montessori schools the last few years, ages 18m-6yo. I plan to homeschool my daughter using the Montessori methodology I have learned in my training, from math and language to cultural and geography. I'd describe my personality as patient, nurturing and extremely organized. I enjoy tutoring because there are so many ways to learn the same concept. No two people learn exactly the same. Together, I enjoy finding how best to teach a concept to an individual and watch as they have that 'aha' moment. I began tutoring when I was on maternity leave. I loved the flexibility of scheduling as it caters to my new mom-life, but it also allows me to remain in the teaching field and put my skills to use. I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughter. Together, we love traveling, playing games, weekly library trips and just relishing our time together.
