Hello all! I tend to go by the name Poppy; I'm a university student studying screenwriting. I've been babysitting since 2016 and have worked with children as young as four months and as old as 13. Working with children brings me joy and is something I've missed since dedicating myself to college. I take pride in being a babysitter who respects, legitimately engages with, and forms meaningful relationships with the children I care for. My caregiving style is playful and empathetic, but still firm. I'm a creative and outdoorsy person. I love being able to share these passions with children. This means building fairy houses, hiking, collaging, making home-movies, scavenger hunts in the park, molding monsters out of air dry clay, etc. I'm confident in my ability to entertain your child without the use of technology. I have experience working with neurodivergencies such as ASD, ADHD + PANDAS. I've also worked with children with diabetes, celiac disease + other dietary needs.

Poppy is so much fun! I hire her for date nights to watch my kids (6 and 8) and they love her! They would be sad whenever other sitters would spend the whole time on their phones and not engaging with them, but they always have so much fun with Poppy. She handles dinner and bedtimes perfectly and we have no worries leaving for the evening. Every time we come home we get to see all the arts and crafts projects she helped them with. They have such a fun time with her and I would highly recommend her!
