I grew up with one of my family members being diagnosed with Autism spectrum disorder. Growing up with my family member I witnessed some of the struggles he dealt with daily. It is inspired me to work with individuals who have ASD. I began volunteering with children with special needs in high school and continued to volunteer throughout college. I received my undergrad in speech pathology. Since graduation I have been continuously working with children who have special needs. I have experience with in home ABA for the past 4 years. I enjoy working with children who have special needs because you can really see the difference you are making. When you are able to see the growth and progression it is priceless. In my experience the implementation of positive reinforcement has been very successful in all of my kiddos.
