I have had the privilege of teaching elementary for the past five years. I have truly enjoyed teaching and have worked hard to cultivate my craft by pursing additional certificates in ESL and Science of Teaching Reading. I have worked at an arts-integrated school and currently work at a two-way immersion school. Where I have gotten to put my ESL certificate to use. I have always been a self-contained teacher so I have gotten the privilege of teaching social studies and math. Which I adore and my students prove how competent I am at teaching math with their scores every year. I have gotten to teach science as well. I enjoy bringing it alive with hands-on experience. I love to say that Learning is my Love Language. I know this is not one of the five love languages, but I know I love to learn, and to teach me something is to show me love and vice versa, for I can show others love by teaching them something new.

We had the honor and pleasure of having Sam tutor our 8 year old third grader this past school year, 2 to 3 times a week, 1 to 2 hours at a time. Our daughter has an individualized education program (IEP) and severe dyslexia and dysgraphia, and although not diagnosed with ADHD, she finds it hard to focus most days. Sam was absolutely brilliant at keeping our daughter engaged and focused. Sam worked with her not only on the objectives of her EIP but also on her homework. Sam was incredibly patient and professional while also being warm and fun. We often overheard them giggling and our daughter coming out of the session feeling energized, happy and relieved that she completed her homework and confident that she is catching up with her reading and math! We received the results of the last EIP progress report a few weeks ago and thank to Sam and all her efforts, our daughter has now officially caught up with grade level reading and math, and met all the objectives of this past school year’s IEP. We look forward to working with her again in the coming academic year and we recommend her very highly.
