My experience caring for those with special needs is more related to children as far as paid experience. I worked at a summer camp with various groups of children age ranging from 5 to 15. I also volunteered for 2 years with a Challenger League for children with special needs. I have experience in caring for children with moderate to severe Autism, Aspergers, various learning disabilities, such as auditory processing. Other children I have sat for have had various different medical conditions. I do not feel a child or an adult should be limited in their activities because of a classification someone else has given them. Everyone should have an opportunity to have fun and be safe.
