About Samantha

As a teacher for 9 years in classrooms from nursery to kindergarten, I'm passionate about supporting children and their families. When a family has a trusted network to help alleviate stress of modern family life, the child has the support system to thrive. My experience babysitting and tutoring reinforces my belief that learning happens everywhere and it takes a village to support a child's growth. When it comes to communication, I am happy to take your lead, whether you'd like to watch a movie without phone notifications or prefer regular updates as you run errands. I'm comfortable enforcing household rules. I believe that consistency and structure give children the predictability to feel safe and secure. Children learn through taking risks and playing! I love catching a child at the bottom of a slide, digging for worms, reading stories, and kitchen dance parties. I also take pride in calmly explaining why we eat vegetables, go to bed at bedtime and share toys.
