About Samantha

My grandmother is 90 and suffers from Dementia. She is my best friend and it was a privilege to grow and learn from her during my lifetime. Grandma cared for me when I was ill, she took me along when she served the community, and every weekend I looked forward to being at Grandma's. Grandma volunteered weekly at our local nursing home and I often accompanied her. As a young child I had many elderly friends and some I adopted as family. 10 years ago Grandma was diagnosed with Dementia and her lifestyle completely changed. I was determined to care for her as she had always cared for me. I took it upon myself to research and learn as much as I could to make my visits with her valuable and enjoyable. I began sitting PRN for a family friend's mother as well. I began to have a love and passion for senior care. While working both on an ambulance and in a hospital my favorite experience were always those involved with senior care. It has become my passion.
