As a PCA I Provided one on one supervision for the safety and assistance of my clients in activities of daily living in order to maintain the client in their home. I have worked as a personal care assistant for a young boy with down syndrome for the past three years. As his PCA I was responsible for making sure that he completed all scheduled activities in order to help him form a daily routine. I collaborated weekly with his behaviorist so that I could better assist him in developing his motor skills and provide guidelines that promoted good behavior. I administered daily medicine when needed and made sure client was happy, healthy and well behaved.
