About Samantha

I started working with kids when I was 13 years old as a classroom assistant at Holm Elementary. When I was 19 I began to pursue a degree in secondary education with a focus in mathematics. I took a position in Americorps City Year where I was placed in a school and tasked with mentoring and tutoring students to steer them towards a successful completion of their k-12 education. More recently I worked as a camp counselor last summer and ran after school STEM programs for preschoolers and elementary students during the school year. My skills include social skill development, education plan development, and time management. I specialize in kids ages 4+ but I can work with 3-year-olds on a case by case basis. I'm moving to New Mexico in the fall to continue my education so I'm looking for short term nannying or babysitting jobs right now. In my spare time, I like to read, play video games, and hike.
