I spent 5 1/2 years working as a direct support professional with adults and children with disabilities. I loved this job, and will provide your loved one with gentle care along with knowledge of the complex needs that your loved one might have. As a supervisor for group homes with adults with disabilities, I became skilled in de-escalation techniques and attending to crises. As a mental health therapist working with kids with complex needs, I became skilled in interventions for my clients and their families.
