About Sacha

I'm a mom of two - an adult son on the autism spectrum and 11-year-old daughter. I'm available this summer for childcare, elder care and K-8th grade tutoring. I have four years experience as a special education instructional assistant. I currently work in a self-contained middle school classroom for behavior. I've worked with children with ADHD, autism (including non-verbal), PDA, OCD, anxiety, learning disabilities and speech delays. I also have extensive experience managing type 1 diabetes. I absolutely love working with children, especially those with special needs. I'm patient, compassionate and have a special interest in understanding and managing challenging behaviors. I believe there is always a reason for behavior and I aim to figure out those reason and help the child learn strategies to manage their emotions.
