We hired Sabrina in August as a full time nanny for our two small boys. One of our main criteria is reliability as our schedules are extremely demanding. She assured us that she would be reliable and dependable. For the first two months she was wonderful and prompt, allowing us to trust her. On October 4th she began giving us excuses as to why she could not come to work last minute, which did not allow us to find coverage. On October 6th she simply did not show up for work with no explanation and no warning. We called many times to make sure she was okay and she did not respond except to tell us that she is "stressed" many hours later and with no indication of whether or not she intended to return. We have reached out several times after and she has not responded. Both of my children grew to really like her and count on her being there for them and now they do not understand why she is not coming back. It is important to note that there was no precipitating incident. My husband and I always had pleasant interactions with her and are genuinely perplexed as to how she could simply abandon her position with no warning or explanation. Do not hire her.
