My name is Ryan, and I am an occupational therapist (licensed in DC, MD, and VA), a disability advocate and a content creator. I graduated in 2021 with a Master of Occupational Therapy and am currently working full-time at an assisted living facility. In addition, to being an OT I am the founder and a content creator which is a storytelling platform that explores in the impacts of ableism. In 2020, we self-published a book, Exploring the Impacts of Ableism, that examined the experiences of disabled, chronically ill, and neurodiverse individuals during the pandemic. Furthermore, I am passionate in creating accessible spaces (emotional, physical, and social) for disabled individuals, especially children and young adults. For the past 15 years I have been leading community trainings on these topics as well as working as a personal care assistant, an educator in a disability nonprofits, and a counselor for autistic, disabled, and neurodiverse adolescents.
