About Ryan
I am a PhD student at Virginia Commonwealth University in mechanical and nuclear engineering. I have years of experience tutoring physics, math, chemistry and engineering courses. My aspiration is to become a professor at a university in Virginia when I graduate. I like tutoring because it allows me to help students understand the fundamental topics of subjects they might gloss over in class. Tutoring allows me to help those who don't understand topics on the first or second time hearing the information. I'm looking for a job that is rewarding intellectually, particularly seeing students understand new topics. The fulfillment of that comes from witnessing their growth and learning. In my spare time, I like to keep up with my physical health with competitive tennis play and strength conditioning at local gyms. One thing you should know about me is I am often told I have a great "tutor voice" and am easy to get along with and learn from.
