About Ryan

I'm a current Elementary School Assistant Principal, former Middle School English teacher with 11 years of experience in DPS. I believe in encouraging the whole child and that everyone can learn. I'm fun, kind, and structured for success. I'd describe my personality as caring, focused, and light-hearted. I like tutoring because giving students focused 1 to 1 attention to help them grow is so powerful! It lets you try new things that are tailored just for that student, not a class full of distraction. I'm looking for a job that allows me to connect with an elementary or middle school student and help get them on track academically for the upcoming school year. In my spare time, I like to sing and play my guitar. I'm also an avid reader. One thing you should know about me is I'm pregnant with my first child! I also have a middle school bonus-daughter. My skills include making learning fun, creatively adapting to what the student needs, and maximizing time.
