About Ryan

I am have taught math at Ridley High School for 18 years. I teach Algebra, Geometry, Pre Calculus and Calculus. I have tutored students for the PSAT and SAT. I can meet virtually or come to your house. Before any learning is done I think it is important to build a relationship and to get to know the student. A student must feel safe and understood before they are willing to do work for you. Go math!! I'd describe my personality as energetic, fun, and caring. I like tutoring because you get chance to work with students one on one. You see the benefit from individualized instruction. I love watching students grow as they challenge themselves academically. In my spare time, I like to do anything active: run, bike, workout, and go to the gym. One thing you should know about me is I have a wealth of experience teaching students at all levels. I have taught in an accelerated math program for years. I also teach students who need more time, structure, and differentiated instruction.
