A lover of people and animals, I have cared for a couple with dementia for the last 6 years plus. I have: cooked, baked for them; have taken them on trips to the local zoo, restaurants, jazz clubs and their Sunday church services. As a day caregiver, I have managed home needs such as grocery shopping, coordinating independent contractors for various needs from house cleaners to yard maintenance workers. I also do gardening and planned/purchased and planted a garden in a client's backyard. Being playful is my forte, as well as discussing news and intellectual ideas. I use music to bring more joy into my clients' lives as well as nature/the outdoors. Also interested in house sitting/animal watching (have worked with clients with dogs in their home for extended stays).
