About Ruth

I'm outgoing, creative, hard working and love kids. I've been babysitting since I was 15, was an in-home nanny for 2 years and now have a 1-year-old boy. I am fascinated by how children view the world. They are so excited by the small things that adults sometimes miss. Kids help slow me down and see the beauty in everything. I love teaching them and engaging in all sorts of activities to their help brain growth and the development of new skills. In my spare time, I love to cook (especially from scratch!), eat, travel, swim, paddle board, kayak, read, play chess, cards, board games, paint, draw, floral design, garden, listen to music/records, go to concerts, farmers market, antique-ing, hike, bike, walk, go to the beach, go to new places, explore, etc!! I'm an adventurer! I'm down to earth, an excellent communicator and am trustworthy. I am patient, a good listener, have a calm demeanor and like to have fun while still providing discipline.
