About Ruth

I raised eight children, who were all homeschooled from preschool to 12th grade. I spent four years as a nanny, caring for two girls until they enrolled in preschool and kindergarten last September. I took the homeschool mom approach in working with the girls. For example, we studied nature on our walks and did themed studies using library books. We read a lot of books together on all sorts of topics and did various learning activities and games. I taught the older girl to read, so she entered Kindergarten as a reader. Many of the skills they covered in school last year we had already worked on. I love working with children and appreciate opportunities to invest in them.
