About Ruta

I'd describe my personality as outgoing, cheerful, and detail-oriented! I bring a smile and a positive outlook to every session and I can't wait to help you achieve your goals! I love tutoring because I know how satisfying it feels to gain confidence through truly understanding and mastering course material! I believe that helping my students build a strong academic foundation will help them excel no matter what field they choose. I started tutoring in high school! I was president of the Bright Knights Tutoring Club and enjoyed tutoring local students in math and English! I majored in Chemistry and minored in Spanish at UNC Chapel Hill, and am confident tutoring math, English, science and Spanish. I scored a 1580 on the SAT and a 526 on the MCAT (100th percentile) and have the experience and skills to help students prepare for SAT/ACT or the MCAT. In my spare time, I enjoy baking sourdough bread, playing tennis, and spending time with my family and friends.
