About Ruqaiyah

I'm an experienced childcare provider with seven years of experience caring for children of all ages. My passion for fostering children's growth and development started with caring for my own younger siblings and children in my community. I've also taught a preschool class, and I'm currently a teacher at an international elementary school in DC. I have a patient and calm demeanor, and I try to create environments that nurture children's natural curiosity. I love playing with children and coming up with fun and creative activities - everything from popsicle stick crafts to writing our own comic books! I believe in open communication with parents and regularly provide verbal updates at pickup, as well as updates via text or phone call, depending on the parent's preference. When it comes to household rules, I follow the parents' lead to ensure consistency and respect their parenting style. I went to undergrad at Yale University, and I'm currently a grad student at Georgetown.
