About Roxanne

I am now working with seniors. Over the past 10 years I have worked with people with intellectual disabilities and mental health diagnoses both young and old. In this time, I have also established both the QMHP and QMRP status in the human services arena, "Qualified Mental Health Professional," and "Qualified Mental Retardation Professional," respectfully. I have thoroughly enjoyed the whole process of supporting and getting to know each person I have supported. Understanding how best to communicate with each person I support is one of the areas I enjoy the most and excel at. I feel that people, whether young in body or mind, are one of the best and most interesting creations this world has to offer. And, they are absolutely worth every moment we invest in them. Because the people I have worked with, on the whole, have had a multitude of physical ailments I have also had the opportunity to become trained in guiding people that are blind or legally blind, using sign language, assessing behavior for pain, feeding nutrition via g-tubes and peg-tubes, administering medication, first aid, and more.
