Messaged Rosemary to care for my mother. She was super sweet when messaging and even during the interview. We told her the job was companionship for 80y/o woman who did not require hands on care. We needed someone who could help with light housekeeping, laundry, transportation to doctors and errands, give packaged medications, supervision with cooking and occasional meals if needed, etc. The position did not really require much effort except ensuring the safety of this active 80 year old and most of the tasks were occasional She was very pleasant to speak with. The interview went fantastic. She was actually my final candidate. But when I called her back to finalize, she told me and I quote "Good Luck I hope you find a cook". We never asked her to cook regularly, during the interview she boast how much SHE loved to cook and we said that was great and my mother would really like that. Assuming it was a partnership cooking almost like an activity they'd do together. She never even ask questions to clarify the cooking. Just assumed. I would recommend discussing in great detail your job with her. Needless to say we didn't hire her because we didn't get given the chance. She responded promptly when messaging. I hope it was a misunderstanding because she really was delightful. Good luck Rosemary!
