I had worked for almost 12 years in the Fort Lee School system as a one-one paraprofessional through the Child Study Team. I worked with children with learning and behavioral problems which included autism & sensory, ADD, and ADHD. There were days that were challenging and days that ran smooth however, at the end of the day it is all worth it when a child and their aid can form a bond. This makes all the difference in the world. I also worked 5 of the 12 years as a physical education assistant so I have lots of energy for the most part! It takes a person that has a love and compassion for others to be able to embrace someone to help improve growth by simply interacting. This is very important to me. I am very sociable, responsible, and fun loving. I have 2 grown children, 2 granddaughters (8 and 3) and 1 grandson age 20 months. I can be the person to go for walks, teach about the surroundings we encounter and simply make a difference in the life of another human being. I treat people like family and hope to be treated the same. I was also a nurses assistant for 5 years. I worked on an orthopedic floor with many elders with broken bones and pediatrics/mother-baby.
