About Rosemarie

Hello! I'm a 22-year-old Developmental/Abnormal Psychology Major. A little bit about me, I've been around children my entire life, and have experience working with age groups ranging from newborns to teens. For the last 4 years I've been working as a Direct Support Professional with kids experiencing developmental disabilities My approach to working with kiddos in particular draws from the Montessori approach, focusing on active and engaged play, and encouraging kiddos to engage with their surroundings. I enjoy reading, arts and crafts, and spending time outside with those I work with, and try to incorporate new and exciting experiences. Another note I like to add is that I'm on the spectrum myself. This has helped me greatly in working close to those experiencing sensory issues, and assisting in developing self regulatory skills.
