I have been an MA for 15 yrs working in a clinical setting. I do caregiving on my spare time. Looking for just 1-2 hours in the evening around 8 p.m. I too have a family that I want to down time with. My 12 is in band and I am very active with my family. I do not do housekeeping since that is a separate job and fees. I am there to care for your family member. If you live alone, I can help you prepare your meals and clean what gets used. If you want me to do errand, I will ask for gas money if I use my personal car. Why is my rate $30. 00 hr. Because I give quality care and will care for you or your family member as if you were my own family. And I have taken the extra step and fees to be registered in the state of California.
