I have a heart for the elderly. My 82-year-old father was placed in a nursing home after having surgery. He received substandard treatment. Although I was working a full time job, I made sure that I was there every day (even during lunch time when possible) in order to facilitate his treatment toward recovery. He died in the nursing home. Due to this experience, years later my husband and I started a Senior Companion business in Knoxville in order to help the elderly stay in their homes as long as possible. We hired caregivers and we managed the business. Unfortunately, since we weren't taking a salary, the shrinking economy forced us to close the business after 3 years. It was a wonderful experience that I will never forget. Please let me know how I can be of service to your loved one.
