I have been caregiver since 2018 and during those years I have had the experience working at a care home for 1 1/2 years where I got to be acquainted with 6 clients with cognitive disabilities. I was able to assist them in their daily needs such as preparing meals, bathing, dressing, medication promoting, and companionship. It was a challenging yet fulfilling role. I was also a nanny to a 21-year-old young man who was on the autism spectrum for 2 years. Together, we worked with behavioral technicians to help him become more independent. For the safety of my clients I have both CPR and First aid certificates. I would love to tell you more about my experiences working with individuals with cognitive disabilities and autism!
