About Roisin

Roisin, LPN I am currently a Licensed Practical Nurse in New Jersey and New York also I am currently CPR certified. I earned these qualifications in Ramsey, New Jersey at Eastwick College and graduated in 2010. Also in 1995 I went to University in Bedforshire, England and Graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology. During my clinical experience as a LPN and from what I have learned from studying Psychology I feel that I am the ideal candidate for a position as a Child Care Provider. I have the following medical knowledge: Vital Signs, Medical History, Patient Assessment, Special Exam: eyes, ears; Infection Control, Wound Care, Capillary Puncture Procedures, Assess Basic Lab Values, Observe and Assess IV Lines, Phlebotomy, Urinalysis, Foley Catheter, NG, Gastrostomy, Chest Tubes, Pharmacology and Medication Administration, Oxygen Administration, and Cultural Diversity. Basic Care Plans: Geriatrics, Med-Surg, Maternal-child, Pediatrics, Psychiatric, and Nursing process. In addition, I have provided Child Care to several children in Mahwah, NJ. The services I provided were as follows: Duties included preparing meals for children, clothing them, providing mental stimulation such as assisting with homework and reading for pleasure. Doing household chores, reinforcing appropriate discipline, and providing transportation for the children for after school activities such as sports and facilitating playgroups and outings. In 2008-2011 I worked for TGI Fridays in Ramsey, New Jersey as a Server while I was training as a LPN. I have many references from the families that I have provided child care for. Also I am originally from Ireland and I am from a family of 11 so therefore, I am very experienced in dealing with children.
