My best childcare experiences have been when I was responsible to teach the children their beginning numbers, shapes and colors. During the curriculum and class time that I spent with the children, it was very moving and fulfilling to see how quickly the children learned and how much each of them individually could be challenged. As the children progressed in their learning, they used what they learned in everyday situations - from counting the leaves that fell from the trees, to naming the colors and shapes of items in the room. From this moment, I realized that I can make a difference and that some of the best memories that a child can have come from the critical age of learning and development.
