I describe myself as a helper and am a lifelong caregiver. My interests as a child revolved around taking care of dolls and creating a daily schedule full of fun activities for my little brother and myself. I hold a degree in Psychology from the University of Denver with an emphasis on human development. After college, I focused on raising my own two kids and I also helped care for my nephew for the first three years of his life. Once he began attending preschool full time I started looking for new caregiving opportunities. That's when I found my true calling as a support person for people with disabilities. Over the past seven years I have found great meaning, purpose, and joy helping my friends with disabilities and immersing myself in the disability community. I moved to Fort Collins from Durango, CO two years ago and am currently looking for a new buddy to laugh, learn, and grow with.
