Working with special needs children has been a passion of mine since high school. Having a sister on the spectrum lead to to explore the field and find myself working as a lead behavioural tech in a clinical setting. I provided parent support and ran programs with the children in order to help them gain independence in areas such as language and communication, toileting, self care, peer interactions and more. Since having a child of my own I have stepped away from the clinical setting and rejoined care. com.
