Unfortunately, this has made me an expert with aging illnesses such as dementia, Alzheimer's, and hospice. As hard as it is, I feel everyone deserves to have some respite and support from the day to day. I feel that in order to provide exceptional care, I have to allow myself to get close to the person and their families which enables me to be in tune with what they are needing and or experiencing so I can best provide them with supports tailored to their own unique needs.
