As a certified HHA and PCA, I have the privilege to work with people of different ethnicity's and backgrounds. My passion about caring for someone with special needs is to help them gain a sense of independence and to make them feel welcomed and accepted. Although patients may have a physical or mental disability, they are still human and should be treated with the up-most respect. With supervision, the care provider should allow the patient to do things for themselves that they are able to do and with assistance. My role as a Home Health Aide would be to carry out my duties effectively, follow the patients care plan and any other requirements ordered by my supervisor. My goal is to provide quality care, respect the patients right and follow the HIPPA law.
