About Rita

My name is Rita. I have been in childcare for 17 years. I started off with babysitting, then a few years with preschool aged children, until I eventually moved on to a private daycare center. While there I worked in the infant program and toddler program. I left that job four years ago to become a nanny for one of the families I had worked with there. Their kids are now in school so I'm in search of a new family. I have experience with creating lesson plans and setting up different activities for the kids daily. I also enjoy taking them outside to explore nature whether it be a simple walk to get fresh air, going to the park, going for a hike or exploring the different elements such as bringing snow in to paint, etc. I also think it's important for them to have lots of library time whether it's reading books or doing the special activities provided that day such as story time, nursery rhymes, etc.
