I have always had a passion for working with children. I began doing occasional babysitting in middle school which I really enjoyed and loved. During middle school I was able to work along with my mom in a Community Bible Study(CBS) Child Care Program. The program was large with a wide variety of children of all ages. I worked in this program twice a week, and my experience began in the nursery followed by the toddler program. It was in this program that I played an active role in the coordination of activities, which included playing with the children and organizing events such as plays and puppet shows. I worked for CBS for 3 years until I starting my freshman year of high school. I did manage to take one course in child education but soon began working for a nanny agency, where I worked for two families. One of the families had 3 children ages 6 months, 2 and 4. The oldest child suffered with Autism, which required a high level of patience and understanding. I worked for them for nearly 7 years and still occasionally watch them on weekends and occasional babysitting when needed. The second family had one little girl who was 4. I have worked with other families since those first two when I began my career, and have thoroughly enjoyed each family. My primary tasks and responsibilities included preparing meals, playing with the kids, taking them to play dates, light house cleaning, and laundry. As the children got older, reading, homework, play dates, you name it, I have done it! I feel as a Nanny that it is very important to find the right family, and for the family to feel completely comfortable with a Nanny that they can trust with their children. I am very active and outgoing. I love to be outside at the park, taking kids to the zoo, sports activities, playing games, and reading. I am very confident in my ability to handle any and all kinds of situations. I am also very good at multitasking and organization. I am patient and calm and yet very upbeat. I have numerous references available which support my qualifications.
