During my college career, I worked directly with children and adults with special needs through leading Special Olympics. I also took a class on the development of the special needs child that provided copious amounts of information and experience on various disabilities and abilities. I was also a regular babysitter for a child with epilepsy and have tutored a young child on the autism spectrum. I have also volunteered and babysat children with down syndrome.
