I’m writing to wholeheartedly recommend Regina O. as an outstanding nanny. Regina was with our family for 3.75 years and would still be with us if we hadn’t moved to Marin. Regina is loving and caring AND a professional - someone who takes her role seriously and is extremely reliable and never late. One of the things we most appreciate about Regina is her focus on safety. She trained the boys from an early age to be very car-aware while walking, and she always took the time to ensure their car seats were buckled properly. She was more careful about some things than even we were - for example she continued to cut up grapes for our 5 year old to prevent choking - and her focus on safety made us confident that the boys were always well taken care of when she was around. Regina is a career Nanny and as such has a wealth of experience, and we learned a lot from her over our almost 4 years together. However she was also very willing to honor our wishes around the things we cared about - like sleep schedules, daily sunscreen, screentime, snacks etc which meant a lot to us. Regina is a natural with children. My sons adore her and she was just as comfortable at the newborn stage as when they became high energy and (at times) challenging preschoolers. She was and is remarkably able to meet them where they are and provide the right amount of love and support. My youngest was in the car the other day trying to console his older brother who was upset and I heard Regina in the lovely things he said to him - “it’s going to be ok.... take a deep breath.” The Directors at both of the schools the boys attended reached out to tell me how wonderful they thought Regina was. Once the boys started preschool, my husband and I were rarely able to do drop-off or pick-up and so Regina became our connection to their school lives, especially before they could talk themselves. She went out of her way to build relationships with their teachers and also let us know when things seemed off or like we should reach out. And Regina managed a ton of logistics when (at the end) both boys attended different schools and had different activities; she was always on top of what was needed and I never had to remind her about anything (in fact she reminded me on more than one occasion!) Regina will always be a special part of our family - we miss her but we’re excited for her to find a new family as amazing as she is.
