My experience and passion of working in caregiver positions spans over 13 years working in elementary schools as a paraeducator in group and individual settings. Moreover, I simultaneously worked as a foster parent for at risk and behavioral youth for more than 5 of these years. My motto is that all children are capable of learning, and I incorporate this idea through my individualized approach with each child. Coworkers and foster care social workers would describe me as a caring, patient, and adaptable worker attune to the needs of the individual. Previous parents and foster care social workers would likely emphasize my attention to detail, compassion, responsiveness, and team player attitude to facilitate the best possible environment with other family and members of a care team. Ultimately, my belief that the elderly and children alike deserve a level of dignified engagement and personalized care is what drives me to continue the vocation of caregiving.
