About Rebecca

I began babysitting at a young age and continued with consistent families through high school and college. I now work full time as a Kindergarten teacher, looking to leave the classroom and continue caring for and teaching children outside the classroom. Before teaching Kindergarten, I spent 5 years working in a preschool for children with special needs and have specialized in Autism studies. In my years as an educator and child care provider, I firmly believe that children need to spend time playing in order to learn, and guidance to fuel creativity in order to develop the skills necessary for success in school and/or life outside the classroom. Ideally, I am now looking for a family interested in a full-time nanny that values child led play, Montessori styled teaching, and many hours spent outside learning and growing. Perhaps you want your child(ren) homeschooled but don't feel comfortable doing it yourself, reach out to me and perhaps working together would be a good fit.
