I have been an assistant teacher in a special Ed classroom for two and a half years and I absolutely love my job. I believe my strengths are my patience, my compassion, my eagerness to learn and my enthusiasm about the children I work with. I have worked with students with challenges in communication, vision, hearing, fine motor skills, academics and ambulation. I have provided toileting assistance to an individual in a wheelchair. I am eager to learn new skills. I pride myself on remaining calm and supporting students through emotional disregulation. In addition, I can speak Japanese or Spanish if that is the preferred language. I am currently engaged in renewing my CPR/ First Aid Certification and should have it completed by 8/13.
