When my father in law became bedridden last year, I jumped in to help with his care. I repositioned him, fed him, helped change him, held his hand, talked to him, and always got a smile out of him. My mother in law said I had missed my calling as a caregiver. Not really, as my day job is working with children with special needs. I have worked patiently with individuals with limitations to their mobility, vision, hearing, and communication. It warms my heart to care for people. I also have work experience doing toileting transfers for an individual in a wheelchair. I would be willing to bathe as well. I trained as a home care aide several years ago, but was unable to find work that fit my schedule at that time. I have had additional background checks through my work with the school district. I am triple vaccinated against COVID and will get the Fall booster. I am willing to work in a surgical mask if preferred. I speak Intermediate Spanish and Japanese.
