I have cared for children with special needs including ADHD, autism, sensory processing disorder (with feeding issues), connective tissue disorders, and global developmental delays. I have performed therapeutic activities and kept care logs. The special needs children I have worked with range in age from 1 to 7 years old. I have cared for multiple special needs children at once. I also have experience working with children who have learning disabilities such as dyslexia, both in the classroom and one-on-one. I am experienced in providing medical care, such as tracking and administering medications, administering breathing treatments when needed, using braces (including AFOs), and working with mobility equipment (such as a mobile stander).
