I'm a theatre artist and educator and recently relocated to NYC. I'm seeking steady part time work as a caregiver and/or tutor this year and beyond. As a caregiver I've worked with ages 3 months to 14 years old, including twin toddlers, nanny shares, and special needs. I've navigated a wide range of parenting styles, and ultimately desire to support whatever style the family has in place. Within the realm of education I've worked as a reading intervention specialist, after school homework tutor, driving instructor, Gymboree instructor, teaching assistant in a SpEd and SED classroom, and of course as a drama, dance, and music instructor. I have taught all age groups. I enjoy bringing creative activities into the caregiving relationship and/or learning environment, and I believe play is an important foundation to building trust, cultivating curiosity, and maintaining relational health.

We've had Rebecca care for our kids, 5 and 8, on various occasions starting from when they were babies. She is creative about ways to entertain them, positive in her behavior management, and has so much knowledge and understanding about how to work with all ages, from little ones all the way up to teens. Our kids love that she sings, dances, and jokes with them. They think she is funny and fun, and we think she is communicative, safe, and hardworking. We've even had her organize and lead activities for groups kids at parties, and they were a hit! We would highly recommend her as a tutor, nanny, or mentor for kids of any age.
