About Rebecca

Hi there! My passion for working with kids came naturally at a young age babysitting for my little cousins, neighborhood families and family friends. Growing up I would go to work with my mother, who worked in the Winthrop Public school systems as an occupational, and through this, I found that I had a strong passion for teaching and working with kids. I began working at after-school programs at the YMCA, and after graduating with a bachelors in Theatre performance and education, I started a full-time position at a Daycare-after school program in Brooklyn, NY, Beansprouts. This is where I truly started to grow in my roles as an assistant teacher in a toddlers daycare classroom setting, split with acting as lead teacher in the kindergarten after-school program during the afternoon. This past year I moved back home to Boston and started working at the Eliot Charter School as a lead teacher in the after school program, Champions, and as well at the Mercantile daycare Kindercare.
